Okra, which is popularly known as “okro” or “gumbo” in
Cameroon originated in Africa. It is currently being cultivated worldwide. In
Cameroon, it is eaten when cooked although some people in other countries eat
it raw. When it is harvested in excess in Cameroon, it is sliced into tiny bits,
dried, powdered and packaged for future use.
Okra is low in calories and is high fiber content. It also contains
Vitamin B, Potassium, Vitamin C, Calcium and folic acid and so many other important nutrients.

Eating okra helps in regulating blood sugar by slowing down its
absorption.
2 Helps in relieving

Okra contains mucilage and is high in fiber. This aids in
