Waking Up From The Biggest Illusion In The World
by Frank M. Wanderer, Ph.DWake Up World
We live here on Earth, with billions of human beings. We live in is an irrefutable empirical fact. Similarly, the fact that other people live on Earth, too, is also an empirical fact.
We do not just live, however, but we are also personalities. We are personalities that are similar to each other in several respects, and largely different from each other in other ways. We are personalities, different from each other is also an empirical fact for us.
Outside these two experiences, however, only one is true, the other is deception. Only one is a fact, the other is an illusion, and the greatest illusion in the world in that.
The beginnings of illusion
Let's take a closer look and examine which of the two experiences is true and that is a mere illusion.
Our life in this world begins when we are born . It is obvious that we are alive, but are still not a personality. At that time only the simplicity and grandeur of this moment of existence is known to us.
Society and culture, is what forms us in personalities as we grow. We become a personality when our ego is born. This is an inevitable step in the evolution of consciousness, so there is nothing wrong with that. The ego is born, the little separated, as the focus of consciousness. That little car gets the experience itself and the world. In the natural course of evolution and, as a result of the experience gained, the ego is removed to make way for the process as a result of which consciousness awakens to its own existence through a human form.
the progress of this evolutionary process can, however, hampered by an illusion: the illusion that the individual is becoming someone, a personality. We become someone, a personality, when we begin to identify with the ego, with that little be separated. Under this illusion we believe that the ego is a reality, and are identical with the ego, and the development of small separated in fact is the basis of our personal development. Today it is practically impossible to avoid that kind of illusion, because humanity has lived there for thousands of years. Deception has become independent, and the illusion of ego is now a reality for all mankind, including, of course, us.
The nature of illusion
Our identification with the ego makes us therefore someone, a personality. On the other hand, our identification with the ego is the root of all our problems and misery. From around us everyone sees the ego as the most important center of his life, they are also raised by our parents to have a powerful ego, a central point in our lives, when they reach adulthood. It is necessary because our society and culture-favors and loves individuals with a powerful ego.
Our parents and teachers appear to us in the spirit of the ongoing efforts to become somebody, to become a strong personality, become someone different from what they are now (to be bigger, more important and better than others). That is why we always look at other people, we compare and measure them. During that time, also it tries to adjust our actions and deeds the expectations and opinions of others. We keep dealing with the past and the future, and we never have enough time to stop and watch the great illusion behind our life time.
The end of illusion
An illusion can only survive if it is revived and is continuously fed. If we look through the innocent eyes (ie, through the eyes free from any kind of opinions) that will soon realize how each society feeds and fans, through its various institutions, the illusion of small to be separated, the ego. How the illusion of "somebodyness" in us and around the world are fed. All that can take place because every society, every culture is based on people, and if those individuals disappear, awakening their "somebodyness" the former modus operandi that society collapses.
that is why Eckhart Tolle is absolutely right when he says that the world can only change from within. The internal change means we awaken our "somebodyness" and begin to understand what our mission in the evolutionary progress of consciousness.
Therefore, we must awaken from the illusion of our "somebodyness" in order to focus our attention on reality. That reality is nothing but the deepest empirical fact in our life, that is, the fact that we live, and is a vibrant, full of life Consciousness. That is the reality that has enveloped us by illusion, the error that we focus all our efforts on maintaining our "somebodyness."
If we stop feeding the illusion, is then fade a while . In order to break the power line illusion, we must learn to realize the intensity and beauty of the present moment. Once we are able to accept the present moment, we are able to accept ourselves and are able to enjoy the simplicity, tranquility and peace of existence. He and experience "somebodyness" and then disappear, and remain nothing more than pure vibrational energy, life itself
