The spraying program pollutes more than 3 million people, including many thousands of American soldiers; and yet it is claiming victims 45 years later.
When humans are contaminated by dioxin, is mainly stored in adipose tissue. Back in the 1940s there was some concern about the PCB of Monsanto (a derivative of petroleum hydrocarbon used in medicine, plastics and dyes) because they were related to cancer, hepatitis and diabetes. The health risks of PCBs was well documented at the time, even on the findings of the Monsanto itself, which summarily burned his documents.
With the future companies as a transgenic game giant, Monsanto would not allow the bad press about the dioxin things ruin; so they created a press campaign of misinformation all over the field, and created strong connections to Washington, and the FDA.

Do not take my word for it. If you want to see the legacy of Monsanto just hit up images of Google for Vietnamese victims of Monsanto, and the truth will soon be evident. The images are very disturbing.
At first I thought that includes a couple with this post; but the world is full of ugliness at this time, and I do not feel like adding to it. Closer to home; many Vietnam veterans are still suffering from dioxin-related cancer and chloracne; as are their children, who passed it to.
The suffering continues, despite Monsanto denies responsibility while and rejects the labeling of their products.
Once Monsanto became a multinational corporation that automatically receives a degree of special treatment in the legal system and has since tried to entangle itself as poison ivy, increasingly in the government; to the point that today we can not say that the government ends and begins Monsanto.
By way of example: if you want to start using a new additive food color, you must navigate a bureaucratic morass first test, permits, certifications and approvals. By contrast, Monsanto had to undergo any of these measures before marketing GMO food-like products in America under the umbrella of "grass", an acronym for generally recognized as safe.
