Undeniable Evidence Links Popular Sunscreens To Cancer – How Ironic?
[? Palestinian Visit the beach for the first TimeCancer rates are increasingly growing as we continue to surround ourselves with an extremely toxic environment. Everything from GMOs to pesticides and cosmetics, our world is full of cancer-causing agents that are being exposed. People are starting to wake up and regain control of their own health. Research and reality on things instead of blindly believing marketing and the media seems to be the new trend.is ironic how people combat the potential dangers of sun exposure long term the touch of several known toxic chemicals throughout the body. Skin cancer used to be rare, but today one in five Americans develop skin cancer; that's about 3.5 million people diagnosed each year, and the incidence of melanoma has increased more than 1000% in the last 20 years +. All this comes with the increased use of sunscreen and mass marketing of sunscreen, along with the fear of mass that seems to plague the planet regarding sun exposure.

Multiple studies worldwide have examined sunscreen, its content and what happens with regard to penetration and absorption after application to the skin. An example comes from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Manitoba, Canada (0) . The purpose of the study was to develop a method for quantification of common sunscreen agents. The results showed a significant penetration of all sunscreen agents in the skin. Basically, all of these chemicals are entering multiple tissues within the body. This is something that can not be denied. What are some of the major toxic chemicals in sunscreens the best brand? Before we get into that, I wanted to share this video with you.
Then I will present evidence for only two ingredients, in the known name brand sunscreen. Please note that there are a variety of chemicals contained in popular sunscreens, and most of them (like those I have described) have studies linking them to the harmful effects on human health and the Cancer. I wanted to keep this short article, but encourage you to continue your own research on the matter.
Oxybenzone
Oxybenzone is contained in many sunscreen products top brand. It is used as a UV-B and UV-A short-wave filter has been available for over 40 years. The Centers for Disease Control and Disease Prevention estimates a prevalence of 96.8 percent oxybenzone exposure in the general US population.
A study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (1) determined that the substance could be detrimental to homeostasis of the epidermis. Another study by the Department of Clinical Endocrinology and Experimental University of Goettingen (2) observed regulatory effects on receptor expression oxybenzone indicating endocrine disorders (hormonal disorders).
a study by the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Zurich found that oxybenzone, which blocks ultraviolet light, can mimic the effects of estrogen in the body and promotes the growth of cancer cells (5) .
a study of the background Laboratories cancer in the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Queensland in Australia recognized the importance of systemic absorption sunscreens caused by multiple studies. The researchers found that oxybenzone inhibited cell growth and DNA synthesis and delayed cycle progression in the first of the four phases of the cell cycle (3) . This takes place during eukaryotic cell division, a very important step that leads to the synthesis of mRNA and protein in the preparation of the steps leading to mitosis. They determined that sunscreen causes mitochondrial stress and changes in drug use in certain cell lines.
A study published in the Journal of Health Sciences by the National Institute of Health Sciences in Japan examined stabilizers UV used in food packaging such as plastics additives (4) . They found that some UV stabilizers in sunscreen products have estrogenicity in a cell test breast cancer MCF-7 and rat uterotrophic assay immature. They tested a total of 11 UV stabilizers. 20 kinds of benzophenone were tested using the same test to demonstrate their estrogenic activity.
A study published by the Department of Chemistry at the University of California found that oxybenzone produces an excess of reactive oxygen species that can interfere with cell signaling, cause mutations, lead to cell death (as shown in a previous study presented in this article), and may be implicated in cardiovascular disease (6) .
Another study by the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Zurich shows a variety of developmental toxicity and reproductive (7) .
a study published by the Department of Engineering Biological systems at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln examined how commercial sunscreens are penetration enhancers. It was determined that the active ingredients in sunscreen, including oxybenzone enhance dermal penetration of herbicides (8) . This study arose due to the fact that agricultural workers are often encouraged to use sunscreen to reduce the risk of skin cancer by ultraviolet rays.
The list goes on and on, and studies seem endless . There is sufficient evidence to indicate that oxybenzone is a hormone disruptor, and it is clear that penetrates deep into the skin. Like many other products for skin care, there is great controversy surrounding this. The fact that major financial institutions who own the pharmaceutical and medical industry produce these sunscreens raises new suspicions.
titanium dioxide
Titanium dioxide is another common ingredient in sunscreen, sunscreen baby predominantly (9) . As illustrated above in the article, what happens in your skin comes into your skin. Specifically with titanium dioxide, studies have shown that high concentrations are absorbed in the epidermis and dermis (12) . Particularly with sunscreen, researchers have conducted experiments showing the chemicals contained within sunscreen penetrate the skin in a high percentage. Do you really want something like titanium dioxide inside your body? How about inside your baby? Titanium dioxide has recently been classified as possibly carcinogenic to humans the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (10) . Titanium dioxide also meets classifications a carcinogen by the National Office of WHMIS.
Normal levels of titanium in the blood of men between 24-66 years of age were found to be 11, 2 microgram. This obviously increases with the use of sunscreen. A study of Germany determined that oral administration of these chemicals results in the gastro-intestinal absorption. (11) .
The oral administration of titanium nano-particles dioxide caused a widespread distribution in the liver, spleen and kidneys, besides causing lung tissue and tissue injury heart during an animal study conducted by the National Center for Nanoscience (13) . Another study by the National Institute of Health in Portugal found that the carcinogenic effects of titanium nano-particles dioxide induce phenotypes similar to tumors in human gastric epithelial cells (14) .
a 2009 study by the VaxDesign Corporation illustrates that titanium dioxide caused inflammation of a human immune construct in vitro (15) . Another study by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Yamagata University in Japan found that titanium dioxide makes fibrosarcoma cells of benign mouse tumor aggressive cells (16) .
a study by the Institute of Occupational Health Finish in Helsinki, Finland illustrates that titanium dioxide has genotoxic effects (17) and also induces DNA damage and reduced cell viability . Another study in Taiwan found that titanium dioxide can induce oxidative damage to human bronchial epithelial cells (18)
I'll stop here with titanium dioxide.; there are many more studies, but I hope I have shown clearly that no doubt can pose a risk to our health. Clearly, people should be more aware of what chemicals found in sunscreens that are being applied in their bodies.
Other Chemicals
there are a variety of other chemicals in sunscreens many popular brand name which history is no different. Multiple studies are available for most chemicals in sunscreens brand that can have harmful effects on human health. The fact that several studies indicate most chemicals enter the body should encourage people to further investigate what they do to it. Most people do not realize that the application of cosmetics is almost the same as eating that in any case still come into your body and into the bloodstream through the skin. This article describes only two of the main ingredients found in popular brands of sunscreen; I encourage you to seek alternatives to protect your skin from sunburn ways. If you are interested in the other chemicals in sunscreen, there are many studies that provide information on the matter.
cell toxicity studies by Dr. Yinfa Ma, conservative professor of chemistry at Missouri S & T, and his graduate student, Qingbo Yang, suggest that when exposed to sunlight oxide of zinc (a common ingredient in sunscreen) undergoes a chemical reaction that may release known as free radicals unstable molecules. Free radicals try to join with other molecules, but in the process, which can damage cells or DNA contained within these cells. This in turn could increase the risk of skin cancer (22) .
The sun is good for you? What about Sun Burns? end Comments
As many of you probably already know, humans require sun exposure for vitamin D. Sunburn indeed cause a concern, and there are many studies linking sun burns melanoma. Due to various factors such as cultural changes and scaremongering our skin is not used for large amounts of sun exposure as it was in the past. If you spend much of their time in the sun, your skin adapts to build a natural immunity. Naturally, we are built to receive sunlight, and we have gone backwards relative. There are several ways to protect yourself from sunburn. You can buy natural sunscreens without the harmful chemicals. Questioning big announcements name is crucial to our health in these times of information awareness.
The depletion of the ozone layer only occurs seasonally in winter and spring. We are generally not exposed to the sun at this time, and do not usually apply sunscreen. Exhaustion is also heavier over Antarctica and the Arctic, as well as the equator, however, cancer rates are not higher in geographical regions (19) . There are people who get melanoma that are less exposed to the sun than others. Research also shows that the incidence of melanoma increases in people who are not exposed to sunlight. Lack of vitamin D has a strong correlation with cases of melanoma.
Only 10 percent of all cancer cases are attributed to all forms of radiation and UV is a very small part of that (20) . When we think of skin cancer that automatically we blame the sun, but what about other causes of skin cancer that are out there as arsenic found in a number of things we eat or avoid (21) . Not to mention pesticides, preservatives, leather and glass.
Sunscreens are a major contributor to toxins in the body, being absorbed within seconds of application. Is not it important to know what you are putting in your body? We now live in a culture where we fear the sun, which is ironic considering the Sun has created all life on Earth. It is important to remember that fear eventually manifest as reality. The Sun has many health benefits so they use natural products will ensure that you receive these benefits, keeping your skin safe, ensuring that you are not absorbing hazardous chemicals that are currently most sunscreen.
