Breast Milk Secrets That The FDA Doesn’t Want You To Know

By Raluca Schachter

The last seminar I attended in Glendale, CA genetically modified foods (OMG), the devastating effects the health of GMOs in the population, and Proposition 37, which also learned of another "inconvenient truth" about ... MILK!

the International Milk Genomics Consortium (IMGC ), located at the University of California, Davis has been working for years to reveal the pioneer and scientific studies on the genes that are responsible for producing milk research.

the team studies the genes that are expressed in the mammary gland during pregnancy and lactation, and how these gene products work together to produce milk - a wonderful "fluid" as Danielle Lemay, PhD likes to call

. the results of their excellent and interesting scientific information about milk (raw milk and specific breast milk), is published in a newsletter called Splash !, which it seemed be another "threat" in the eyes of the administration and food (FDA) and its agenda. Why? Easy. Because infant formulas and pasteurized milk are promoted through heavy marketing as the only forms of dairy products (or white chalk) that humans can still enjoy these days. Because any attempt to fight this agenda must ultimately be destroyed before many people learn about it.

So why was carefully "suggested" for certain information provided by this newsletter to be stopped immediately ... And on this date, a specific article on milk crude and its benefits can not be read in the October issue of Splash ! never more. It has been "gently" removed and now if you want to access it, the site will tell you that you have "Insufficient privileges". So how censor scientific papers sit well with ACADEMIC FREEDOM?

Now, as a nutritionist, I rather to point out the health benefits of healthy foods such as milk and breast milk raw and reveal the amazing mother nature has provided us mechanisms to ensure healthy offspring. Facts for sure, you will not find outside the FDA, manufacturers of infant formulas and mixing, OGM, producers of pasteurized milk

Imagine you had to if only drink and eat a thing. A potion magic and that this magic potion containing all necessary calories, macronutrients and micronutrients including special molecules that good gut bacteria, an array of both active and passive immune protectors, and fed stem cells. The potion also makes you smarter. It makes you happier. And best of all, the potion is made just for you, based on your environment and genetics of his mother. That potion is mother's milk. (Danielle Lemay, PhD)

Below I will summarize some of the very interesting aspects and not so well known that Milk International Genomics Consortium is investigating about milk and breast milk :

Unlike breast milk for children

humans do produce milk skewed sex? Researchers have hypothesized that biases in milk synthesis can contribute to differences in the trajectories of postnatal growth among children and data are beginning to support, in part, these hypotheses.

in 2010, Powe et al. reported that among 25 women in the Boston area, mothers of children produced ~ 25% higher energy density in the milk of mothers of daughters . More recently, Fujita et al (2012) revealed sexual bias in the concentration of milk fat between 72 women in rural Kenya. On average, mothers of children produced concentrations significantly higher in milk fat.

However, other parameters, such as mass and infant and maternal weight, parity, and access to resources, also can play a mediating role. Because relatively little research effort has been devoted to the investigation of milk synthesis sex-biased, there are still many unanswered questions. For example, to what extent are other components such as hormones, similar or different in the milk produced by male children vs. daughters? How children use differently mother's milk? What are the signs and mechanisms by which the mammary gland "knows" which is the synthesis of milk for a son or a daughter?

Understanding how milk varies among mothers is of critical importance to human health . These complexities can be translated into the optimal selection of donor milk for babies at risk of NICU and modification of commercial infant formulas.

Many absent from the commercial formula, but this vital nutrient in breast milk

These are all nutrients found destroyed, is not available, modified or inhibited in commercial infant formulas, but are present in breast milk:

  • enzymes antimicrobial
  • biodiverse probiotics
  • omega-3 and -6 essential fatty
  • lactase producing bacteria
  • delicate proteins
  • B-12 binding protein
  • bioavailable vitamins
  • calcium bioavailable
  • phosphorus bioavailable
  • enzyme phosphatase
  • oligosaccharides
  • lymphocytes
  • B lymphocytes
  • macrophages
  • neutrophils
  • IgA / IgG antibodies
  • bifidus factors
  • gamma-interferon
  • fibronectin

Besides all that, it has been found that activin A and S100B are two proteins in the brain that could be critical for babies who ingest. The concentration of both activin A and S100B is higher in the milk of the mother in her bloodstream. This means that the high concentration of these proteins in milk is purposely, rather than a byproduct of the circulation of the mother. Furthermore, the concentration of S100B in human breast milk is higher than in milk of other household dairy animals. The differences in the concentration of brain protein S100B in milk between human and non-human species probably reflect the greater postpartum the newborn human neurological development.

The absence of activin A and S100B in the formula for commercial babies could be the result of lower concentrations in cow's milk to begin with, but the amount of these proteins also may be diminished during commercial food processing.

breast sugars protective milk for the baby's intestines

much of human milk can not be digested by babies and seems to have a very different purpose of child nutrition - the influence the composition of bacteria in the gut of the baby.

Researchers at the University of California, Davis have discovered that a particular strain of bacterium, a subspecies of Bifidobacterium longum, possesses a special suite of genes They allow you to thrive in the indigestible component of milk. This subspecies is commonly found in the feces of breast-fed infants. Coats the lining of the baby's intestines, protecting it from harmful bacteria.

complexes sugars were long thought to have no biological significance, despite they constitute up to 21 percent of the milk. In addition to promoting the growth of bifidus strain, which also serve as decoys for harmful bacteria that might attack the baby's intestines. Sugars are very similar to those found on the surface of human cells, and are constructed in the breast by the same enzymes.

This can be seen as "a product of the amazing evolution" one that has been vigorously by natural selection because it is so critical to the survival of the mother and child. From the perspective of the child, born in a world full of hostile microbes, with an untrained immune system and without which the caustic stomach acid in adults kills most bacteria. Any element in milk that protects the baby will be strongly favored by natural selection.

Click infant formulas have the right kind of fat?

human milk fat consists of over 150 different types of fatty acids !! While the mammary gland is able to synthesize many of these fatty acids, others must be supplied by fats in the diet of the mother. As human mothers are not getting identical diets, it is not surprising that the fatty acid profiles of human milk vary widely between populations. So a type of fat (as found in commercial formulas) does not fit all!

For most of human evolution, diets lacked meat, dairy products, processed foods, and hydrogenated oils domesticated. synthesis of fatty acids of human and postnatal infant growth patterns and development milk have evolved during a time when mothers consumed pre-agricultural diets, so the best model for human milk may come from human populations consume a traditional diet. For example, Tsimane women in Bolivia produce milk with less fatty acids DHA and processed foods that American mothers.

Several studies have shown that the composition of body mother, regardless of diet, may also affect the fat composition of milk.

it is unlikely that the pre-agricultural women reached a body mass index (BMI) greater than 25 (the general line of cut between normal and overweight), it seems plausible that milk synthesis would be affected by such dramatic changes in body composition, as we realize today an epidemic of obesity!

so, what do all these facts mean, after all? I would say are a further confirmation that nature can not be replicated so true health can not be imitated. Breast milk offers unique features, incredibly complex that are intended to ensure a healthy, vigorous start for a human being. Raw milk from grass-fed cows is a natural and healthy to continue with this type of food later form. We must use technology to learn more surprising and useful information on these aspects, instead of making more dead, Franken-foods in the laboratory!
