Acidity is a termed as a condition in which there is
excess production of acid in the stomach. The acid is important for digestion
process but it is harmful if produced in more than required amounts. There can
be reasons behind acidity such as consumption of alcohol, intake of spicy or
non-vegetarian food, and certain medicines.











In severe cases, Dyspepsia, heartburn or Ulcers may also
occur. The problem of acidity may become worse after meals, lighting weight or
at night when lying down.


Given below are natural
methods to treat Acidity at home:


Cinnamon



Cinnamon is really effective in dealing with the problem
of Acidity. It not only functions as a natural antacid but also aids in driving
out stomach gas.


You can make cinnamon tea and drink it 2-3 times a day.
To make cinnamon tea by adding half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of
water. Boil this mixture and then leave it for few minutes.


You can also just add some cinnamon powder to your food.


Cloves



Clove is a natural carminative that helps in easing acidity.
It also dispels stomach gas. You can just chew 2-3 cloves or mix equal amounts
of crushed cloves with cardamom an eat it.


Ginger



Ginger
is a potent home remedy to manage Acidity. It also protects the stomach against
ulcers. Ginger improves digestion and absorption of essential nutrients.


You
can simply just chew a small piece of Ginger root to get relief from acidity.
You can also make Ginger Tea by boiling it in water for at least 30 minutes.
After that, drink the preparation to get relief from Acidity.  


If
you find the taste of Ginger too pungent, then you can make a mixture of
crushed Ginger and Jaggery. Suck this mixture thoroughly to allow its juices to
reach stomach.


Apple Cider Vinegar



One of the best remedy to get rid of Acidity is
consumption of Apple Cider Vinegar. Just mix one tablespoon of Apple Cider
Vinegar in a glass of water (200ml) and drink it 2-3 times a day.









For best results, take it after having meal and before
going to sleep. Do not continue drinking this, in case there is no benefit or
you feel worse.


Aniseed (Saunf)



Aniseed
is available in Kitchen of almost every home. It is an unbeaten home remedy to
treat Acidity. Add 1 tablespoon of Aniseed to a cup of boiling water. Then
leave it overnight.


In
morning, strain the water and add 1 tablespoon of honey. For best results, take
this preparation at least 3 times a day.
