10 Reasons Why Dogs Are Best Friend
In short, dogs are awesome. Whether they are asking for your food, barking at his belt to convince take a walk, or simply greet you when you get home, dogs do all the little things that put smiles on the faces of everyone. What are some of the most endearing reasons why dogs are and always best friend is the man? Read on ...
1. Dogs have terrible short-term memories.
One of the crappier aspects of human friends is that, generally speaking, they remember all the times you've done them wrong and will hold it against him for the rest of their lives. Dogs, on the other hand, have the "gift" of bad memory. This means you can mess with his tail, play keep away with their food, and strained his ears to your heart's content, even if disturbed. You get to have your fun and your dog will forget all and treat you like his best friend within a couple of minutes! It's really one of the few cases of complete success in life.
2. Dogs have great long-term memories.
While your dog will forget to pull the tail, they will not forget the connection they share with you, and if you are good for them, will leave a lasting impact on that they never were shaken. Take for example, my dachshund Chester. From a young age he was babied by my mother, and now, almost twelve years later, he never separated from it. Unfortunately, this sort of thing goes both ways, as it used to mess with him a little on a consistent basis (actually I do not think it has anything to do with me; he is too close to my mother than anyone else), and therefore currently yapping in my general direction of any kind words always come from my mouth.
3. Dogs are back.
Although my dog Chester is not exactly a big fan of me, he still takes weirdest me. Now, when a dog actually like me (like my dog Sally ago), I will defend even more vehemently. Whenever a lawyer or creepy girl scout cookie blows businessman traffic on your door, your dog will be there beside you yapping to them as trembling behind a corner, too afraid to answer. Of course, this can go a little overboard, as this time the UPS guy showed up and tried to put a box on my porch, only to be chased away by three dogs run to defend the homeland. Understandably, now let packets through the front door instead.
4. Dogs can imitate their emotions.
Based on the tone of your voice and your body language, your dog will do their darnedest to emulate his current mood. When you are sad, they look at you with big doe eyes. When her angry, the fur will rise on their backs and they will start to bark and growl at inanimate objects. While humans may not respond to their emotional upswings and downswings in a way that you prefer, the dogs will always be there if you're excited, depressed, or anywhere in between.
5. The dogs act as mini-dishwasher.
Ok, that it sounds a little rough, but listen to me. Always finish dinner and have very little food on the plate to save, but in excess it would be a nuisance to wash in the sink? Well, this is where your dog comes into play! Just hand over the plate and leave to polish off. They'll be happy, and you will have an easier time to wash the dishes!
6. Dogs are great motivational tools.
If you are afraid that using your dog as a dishwasher will lead to them becoming overweight, do not fear. Dogs prefer be active, at least when they are younger. Make use of your abundance of energy and take a walk, or if you are very ambitious, run! They'll be tuckered and extremely funny, and you're on your way to become a healthier person!
7. The dogs are getting smart crazy!
Intelligence varies depending on the type of race you get, but generally, dogs are some of the most intuitive around animals. This is demonstrated by its many facial expressions (I like especially one in which the inclination of the head and look at you with curiosity), its ability to hide deviously toys in the strangest places, and more. One of my dogs is a miniature Schnauzer, and he cracks me up with how smart he is. I have a couple of tennis balls on my desk (not used for tennis, here just em in the air every time I'm focused), and he know this. Therefore, what you do is go in small reconnaissance missions in my room. If I'm there, that aims to look out the window or inspect my bed while simultaneously stealing a few glances at my tennis balls (which usually put randomly on the floor). Then it will go, but only after making a mental list of where the balls are. Later in the day, or it could even be several days later, I'll go down and see him happy chewing on one of my tennis balls, a mischievous look in her eyes as she looks at me. It is hilarious every time! He planned mission stealth waited for me to leave my room, recovered the ball, and escaped without my noticing. Sounds like you should make a seal Navy honor ...
8. Dogs are not allowed to eat alone anymore.
Who wants to eat alone? Sure it's nice sometimes, but even as an introvert, I'll admit I liked a good dinner with other people (only if I like your company, of course). Well, fear not, because if you have a dog, you always have company for dinner. Of course, they'll be sitting next to the knee, panting in his face, asking for their food, but business anyway! I recently went to go eat alone in my room when I heard a distinct snort and blow outside my door. It turns out that my 14-year-old dachshund Sally had dragged his low body fat all the way up two flights of stairs to be there as he ate (presumably because she expected me to give him some of my Chinese food - oh and some looked exactly what corgi pictured in the gif above). Having had a dog, it is difficult to eat without the incessant barking in the background!
9. The dogs will not leave you hanging.
Have you ever make plans with a human friend, only to discover that canceled at the last minute? Well, no need to worry that when you have a dog. They do not know how to use the phone, so I know, so there is no reason to fear that call poodle neighbor to see if they hit up some local bars, to leave your TV and a lean, lonely microwave dinner. They are there to that and only you!
10. Dogs know how to live.
In short, dogs behave as human beings who are not concerned about the most ridiculous aspects of conscious existence. For example, pay bills, get an education, running errands, trying to annoy people all the time, etc. All they want to do is wake up, greets you, run, play with toys, eat, nap, eat again, nap again, say hello again, and sleep. Is that so bad?! Of course, humans have certain responsibilities thanks to our "intelligence", but it sure would be nice if we could all go through life like dogs; free and completely safe care of ourselves. At least, if you have a dog, you can live through them. While you know what you're getting into , which is totally worth it!
