In 2009, researchers at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, I started looking into an abundant undergrowth as a cure for cancer, and were not disappointed.

Pamela Ovadje a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Windsor, has done extensive work in research of anti-cancer properties of dandelions and other natural extracts.


She stated as follows:

"We had information from an oncologist, a partner here in Windsor, I had patients who showed improvement after taking tea dandelion root . And so, with a phone call, we decided to start the study of what was in this tea that make patients respond to it, so we started digging dandelions. "

She was skeptical at first, but not because it was a natural source.

"I noticed dandelions are everywhere, and if there was something to it, people would have found it already."

Well, we should all be very pleased that researchers began to look at root extract dandelion and its effects on cancer because the results seem almost too good to be true.

"Since the beginning of this project, we were able to correctly evaluate the effect of a simple water extract of the root of dandelion in several types of human cancer cells in the laboratory and we have seen its effectiveness against myelomonocytic chronic human leukemic T cells, leukemia and pancreatic and colon, without toxicity to non-cancerous cells. Moreover, these efficacy studies have been confirmed in animal models (mice) that have been transplanted with cancer cells human colon. " ( Source )

In February 2015, the extract was approved for human trials. Currently, root extract dandelion is in Phase 1 trials for blood-related cancers at terminal stage, including lymphoma and leukemia. (Source)
