One day starts with chocolate is a good day.
Lately this has been the motto around our house. We were able to enjoy everything from oatmeal chocolate banana coconut (you may have seen my post on Instagram), chocolate wafers, chocolate and walnut brownie-even healthy cookies (recipe coming soon). Chocolate for breakfast never disappoints. He had planned to share a super delicious kale summer salad recipe today, but I made this shake again this morning and decided I just had to share it with her as soon as possible.
This chocolate hemp protein smoothie is rich, creamy, and oh-so-chocolate. It is full of vegetable protein, healthy fats, and super foods that will energize your morning. This shake is not just for breakfast. I've been loving as a snack refill fuel after running. I would even make this dessert ... it's very dreamy.
I added a tablespoon of Rich Vitality a protein supplement Blend my smoothie this morning, containing organic cocoa powder wolfberry powder barley grass, maca root powder, brown rice protein, and hemp protein powder. This is a great boost shake powder if you are in the market for something new. It is vegetarian, organic whole, and loaded with antioxidants, proteins and amino acids. is not necessary special powder to make this smoothie; I've done a lot of times without any kind and which is still loaded with protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to fuel through your day. I love using hemp seeds shelled for a natural, whole foods, and a supply of vegetable protein in my smoothies. They add a rich creaminess and nutty flavor that I find quite tasty. If you are new to using hemp seed, then this or my Happy strawberry milkshake hemp are two great ways to give them a chance.

Hemp protein chocolate Smoothie
ago a portion of 10 grams of protein
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2 tablespoons seeds raw, shelled hemp (I like these )
- 1 tablespoon powdered raw cacao or cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 heaping tablespoon super vitality Rich Blend (or use a hemp seed powder + 1 tablespoon extra tablespoon cocoa)
- 02.01 medjool dates or preferred sweetener of choice (ie, syrup maple, coconut nectar)
- 1/4 large avocado (or about 2 tablespoons)
- optional: powder maca root for extra energy, I would add a teaspoon
- 1 1/2 frozen bananas
- ice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except frozen bananas and ice cubes until it is completely smooth. Add the frozen bananas (I like to cut the mine before freezing) and mix again. Add a few ice cubes if desired and mix. Enjoy!
