It's official. Spring has arrived and we are finally coming out of hiding. During the colder months, they tend to just relax on the sofa to avoid the elements. While this is super comfortable, the lack of movement can cause stagnation in the body that can lead to toxic buildup. If your systems are clogged, you may feel tired, achy, congested, etc., and may have a thick coating on the tongue in the morning. (Mmm, I know!)

This is why the spring is so handy. According to the ancient Ayurvedic practice, spring is the best time of year to detoxify and restore. As the weather warms, shedding excess kapha dosha, or fluid protector, it is a crucial part of the transformation. This is ideal for cleaning food, heavy winter and toxins that accumulate in recent months time.

The detoxification process allows us to feel lighter and more vibrant as we got outside again. For detoxification successfully, follow these steps.


1. Drink tons of water.

Start each day with a glass of water at room temperature with lemon. This will help cleanse the liver, prepare the system for digestion, and hydrate your body. Keep drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

2. Focus on eating only three meals a day.
