Who Tells Us What To Think? Is The Mainstream Media The Matrix?
Do you think he really thinks for himself? Have you come up with their attitudes, opinions and beliefs about your account, or that is continually shaped and molded by someone else? Could it be possible that you and everyone around you is really hooked on a version of the real life of "the matrix" that is constantly defining its reality for you?Unfortunately, the truth is that almost all of us have voluntarily engaged us to a colossal system means that literally tells us what to think. In the United States today, the average American watches 153 hours of television per month. We also spent an enormous amount of time watching movies, surfing the Internet, reading books and magazines, play games and listen to music. Many Americans are so addicted to being "connected" that effectively become physically uncomfortable if they are at home and there is total silence.
When you go to work or school in the morning, what is everyone talking about?
usually, people are talking about something they saw on TV or who they heard about the news.
in our society, limited that we have with others usually interactions are defined by our mutual connection of the media. The media literally define for us what is important and what is not. If the media does not talk about something, then just do not care
do not know how many times over the years I heard someone tell me some version of the following statement. "If that was true we had heard about it on the news. "
has anyone said something similar to yours?
the funny thing is that most of the time not even going to mention something important I I have heard one of my articles unless you can back it up with a "current source" and I do not even trust the media.
I know the media often distorts the facts and, often said outright lies, but I link regularly for them because it gives my articles more "credibility" in the eyes of those still fully engaged in the womb.
in a world in which large media companies have so much power, is there any hope for us?
While large corporations that control the media are dominating and controlling the conversation, is there any chance that there will ever be an awakening the mass of the American people?
our young people seem particularly addicted to be constantly "connected" to the array of media that is being built around us.
the following is a brief excerpt from a recent article by Daniel Taylor ...
according to a 2010 report from the lA Times , young people spend on average 53 hours a week watching TV, playing video games and sitting at the computer..Wow - our young people spend more 200 hours per month connected to the media?
Facebook users spend about 15 hours a month on social networking site.
people is walking - and driving - blind, while texting, sometimes entering sources until falling cliffs
But we have only about 480 waking hours a month to work.
If they are being exposed to this amount of continuous propaganda, what hope have our young people?
in the old days, children actually played each other in the streets and adults actually left their homes to interact with each other.
But these days they spend most of our time sitting passively in our homes watching the flickering screens.
it Is that a sign of a healthy society?
we were created to be social creatures. We were designed to love and be loved. But these days people "love" of their favorite sports teams or their favorite TV shows "love" but we have an increasingly difficult time to have real relationships with each other.
Meanwhile, the global elite rely on the media to keep us distracted and control the limits of public discourse. Most of the time, the media focuses on the latest scandal celebrity or last dogfights between Republicans and Democrats and systematically ignored many of the most important things that are taking place there.
Let me give you an example of how the media shapes the news. For decades, there was almost total and complete blackout in the media Bilderberg meetings produced each year. Senior executives of newspapers in the United States really would attend these meetings, but then their newspapers did not say a word about them.
If anyone out there had "Bilderberg Group" to appear, which were sent as "conspiracy theorists" crazy and were told that simply does not exist.
of course, now we all know exists, despite the media in the US It remains mostly ignores it. In fact, this has been by design. The following is what David Rockefeller allegedly said during a meeting of the Bilderberg Group in 1991 ...
We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. ... It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. However, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national self-determination practiced in past centuries.Even today, many prominent "journalists" in the American people mock when the Bilderberg Group appears. For example, Lawrence O'Donnell MSNBC says it is "too lazy" to look into the Bilderberg Group and that "knows nothing of it, so it should not exist."
for more on the relationship between the media and the global elite, see this article: "who runs the world strong evidence that a group of wealthy elite pulling the strings"
.
instead of telling us what is really happening in the world, the media keeps us distracted so. The following are just some of the headlines that can be found on the covers of the main sites of the mainstream news at the moment ...
- College student creates the delivery service condoms
- Michael Douglas feels "good"
- golf tournament delayed by kangaroos
- experience of Rock 'n' roll hamburger
- Lady Gaga cancels tour, set for surgery
Wow - those are some examples of some very strong right there journalism.
So why most Americans continue to fall in this sense?
Unfortunately, part of the reason is because we have become as "diminished" as a society.
Recently, the Guardian carried out an assessment of the reading level of each State of the Union in US history .. what they found it is that state of the addresses of the Union of Barack Obama have had average reading level second lowest in history, and that overall levels of reading the speeches have been declining significantly over time.
But it is not only our presidents who seem to be increasingly stupid. The truth is that our public education system is a total joke at this point. Many of our high school students are like dumb as a rock , and if you do not believe 23 percent of all Americans can not even read below a level fourth grade.
of course, the elite are quite happy with this, because a stupid audience is an audience that is easier to master. When a large segment of the population can barely read and used to let others think for them, it becomes easier to lie.
For example, on Thursday, Paul Krugman, the New York Times indicated what next ...
The growing dependence on government is a myth.Of course, most of you reading this know that is a total lie. The graphics in this article clearly show that the number of Americans on food stamps is at its highest point and the percentage of the population is on food stamps is at its highest point.
in 1983, less than a third of all Americans lived in a household that has federal money each month, now, a record high 49 percent of all Americans live in a household where at least one person receives money from the government every month.
for many more statistics and graphs that demonstrate impressive growth of dependence on government, see this article and this article .
Unfortunately, the truth does not seem to matter much to the media these days. The media tends to be incredibly arrogant, and most of the time not even pretend to be "objective" or "neutral" more.
Fortunately, more Americans than ever are becoming dissatisfied with the mainstream communication and are starting to look for alternative sources of information. According to a recent Gallup poll, the level of trust that the American public has in the media is now at a lower level.
So maybe there's hope after all.
