1) RICE
As Indians, most of us are programmed to feel like we haven’t really eaten a meal without a portion of rice. But for all you weight watchers, avoid the rice as it is very high in carbohydrates. Replace it with whole grains like brown rice and broken wheat grains
2) COFFEE
After dinner people usually like having a cup of coffee. Not only is coffee acidic, it also generates additional stomach acid. Aside from that, it will keep you up at night. Replace coffee with soothing chamomile tea or jasmine tea.
3) AERATED DRINKS
Do not accompany your dinner with aerated drinks. They contain high amounts of sugar which is not good for your weight as well as blood pressure. Loading up on sugar at night is a bad idea. Replace with water, buttermilk, or even a fresh juice without added sugar.
4) PROCESSED FOODS
Completely avoid all processed foods since they contain harmful chemicals. They are processed by reducing the natural nutrients in the food. They will not only cause weight gain but also a whole lot of health problems.
5) FRIED FOODS
Fried foods, both made at home and outside need to be avoided. Fried foods contain a lot of fatty substances that are not good for the body. Sometimes the oil that is being used to fry foods is not healthy as it has been heated many times over and this is bad for health.
6) FOODS MADE OF WHITE FLOUR
Any foods that are made of white flour like breads, pastas, noodles etc should be avoided. Not only do they aid weight gain, they are also the cause of high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Eating
white flour especially at night is not recommended as the body will transfer it into fat while sleeping.
