STROKE






A stroke is a brain attack. It can happen to any one
of any age at any time. This generally happens due to the blockage in nerves.
When this happens brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die.


How a person will be affected by a stroke it totally
depends on where the stroke occurs in the brain. Someone who had a small stroke
can recover from it in a very short period of time. But those who had very
large strokes they may be permanently paralyzed on one side of the body.


Types
of strokes:-


Ischemic
strokes: -
it generally occurs as a result of an
obstruction within a blood vessel supplying blood to the brain.


Hemorrhagic
strokes: -
it results from a weakened vessel that
ruptures and bleeds into the surrounding brain. The blood accumulates and
compresses the surrounding brain tissue.


TIA:
-
it is generally caused by clot. Its symptoms occur
rapidly and last for a very short time. Some symptoms are, numbness or
weakness, sudden confusion, trouble in speaking, vision problems.





Stroke
treatments:-


Stroke occurs due to the blockage of vessels. So
with the help of medication you can unblock the vessels easily. We can also
treat a stroke effect by taking healthy diet and performing exercises daily.





Prevention:-

Following are some preventive measure which can
prevent us from strokes.




  1. Lower
    blood pressure: -
    it is huge factor of stroke risks. High
    blood pressure is not only a cause of strokes but also give invitation to many
    other health problems. Try to maintain a blood pressure of less than 120/80.

  2. Lose
    weight: -
    obesity and excessive fat in body is
    not a good sign for us. It affects our body in many ways. It raises your odds
    of having a stroke. If someone is overweight then they are much prone to
    strokes.

  3. Exercise
    daily: -
    exercise is a simplest way which can
    keep us away from all health problems. It helps to lower blood pressure, reduce
    weight. You can join a fitness club or you can take a morning walk and can
    practice many yoga sans.

  4. Drink
    much water: -
    water is very good for our health. It
    helps to throw out the waste products from out body. It helps in the proper
    functioning of kidney and liver both.

  5. Drink
    limited: -
    doctors says that if you drink one
    glass alcohol daily it will reduce the risk of stroke. But once you start
    drinking more than 2 drinks per day, your risk goes up very rapidly.

  6. Treat
    diabetes: -
    you must keep sugar level in control.
    High blood sugar damages blood vessels over time, making clots more likely to
    form inside them.

  7. Quit
    smoking: -
    smoking is also very dangerous for our
    health. We must quit smoking as soon as possible. Smoking accelerates formation
    of clots in our body which ultimately increases the risk of strokes. Along with
    a healthy diet and regular exercise, smoking cessation is also helpful to
    reduce your stroke risk significantly.
