Oral health problems such as cavities and gum diseases are common but preventable for the most part. Many dental procedures are not painful, but a simple examination can sometimes feel stressful. Even though we have been brushing and flossing our teeth for years and years, many of us are surprised to learn that we are not doing it properly. Did you know that proper brushing takes at least two minutes but most of the adults are not doing that much longer due to that so many people are affected with dental problems.
Brush your teeth twice a
day with fluoride toothpaste and replace your toothbrush every 2-3 months. Eat
a balanced diet and avoid in between meal snacks floss daily to remove food
particles that get caught in teeth schedule regular dental checkup for
professional cleaning and oral exams.Limit the number of times you eat snacks each day.

STEPS YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW :
Brush your teeth last thing at night and at least one other time during the day with fluoride toothpaste.
Clean in between your teeth at least once a day using inter dental brushes or floss.
Check if you have bad breath lick your wrist, let it dry and give it a sniff, if it smells your breath probably does too.
If you use mouthwash do not use it directly after brushing as you rinse away the fluoride from your toothpaste.
Make sure your toothpaste contains fluoride it helps strength tooth enamel making it more resist to decay.
Some dentists may offer home visits for people who are housebound or have difficulty visiting the surgery.
Your dentist will carry out a visual mouth cancer check during your regular check up.

- AWARE OF TOOTH GRINDING
- VISIT DENTIST REGULARLY
- LIMIT YOUR TEA AND COFFEE
- DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
- BRUSH TWICE A DAY
- EAT A BALANCED DIET
- WEAR A MOUTH GUARD IF YOU PLAY SPORTS
