Meanwhile, California Fault Lines And The Area Around Yellowstone Are Shaking Like Crazy
by Michael SnyderEnd of the American Dream
In recent days the media is set at the largest mass shooting in US history , but in the meantime it has not been very unusual seismic activity along major fault lines in California and near Yellowstone supervolcano. Let's talk about Yellowstone first. In recent months, large geysers have been behaving strangely and this is something that my wife and I covered in our TV . And now, just in the last week there have been three major earthquakes in the region. On June 9, an earthquake of magnitude 3.7, on June 13 there was a magnitude 4.3 earthquake and today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0. Yes, the area around Yellowstone is hit by earthquakes all the time, but most of them are extremely small. Earthquake of this magnitude to be striking around Yellowstone is highly unusual and more than a little alarming.
The map below comes directly USGS , and shows all earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater that have hit the western part of the United States during the last week. The three major earthquakes that struck southwestern Montana are visible on the map, although they are difficult to see because all points overlap. But the main reason I show this map is because I want to see all the earthquakes that have been happening along major fault lines in Southern California in recent days ...
the largest was a 5.2 magnitude earthquake that hit an area northeast of San Diego on Friday. The following comes from NBC Los Angeles ...
A magnitude 5.2 with its epicenter in the desert northeast of San Diego did shake Friday morning throughout southern California. But that earthquake was not the end of it by any means. It has been reported that this great quake was followed at least 800 aftershocks .
the earthquake occurred around 1:00 a.m. northwest of Borrego Springs in San Diego County, according to the USGS. The earthquake was initially reported a magnitude of 5.1 before it was revised to 5.2, according to the USGS.
Yes, normally we expect aftershocks following a major earthquake, but having so many is very, very unusual.
tremors have been on strike further north coast of northern California and Oregon are also of great concern too. Recently, I wrote about the fact that the federal government has been carrying out exercises who have tried to simulate the response to a magnitude 9.0 Cascadia subduction zone earthquake. If an earthquake, such went on strike at this time, the damage would be incalculable.
And the USGS has confirmed that an earthquake of this type is very possible and that "probably trigger huge waves tsunami " ...
Eurasia's largest volcano Kliuchevskoi in the Far East of Russia erupted shooting hot ash miles into the air on Tuesday, the local geophysics service said. And in New Zealand, there is evidence that a major new volcano may be in the process of formation of in a small town ...
"eruption was detected [Tuesday] morning ... the eruption column rose 6 kilometers [3.7 miles]. the gas-steam plume spread over 47 kilometers west of the volcano," a representative of Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
Under Matata, a small town coastal 125 miles from Auckland in the North Island of new Zealand, scientists recently discovered a magma accumulating massive, possibly signaling the beginning of a new volcano.in my new book entitled "the verdict of ecstasy" talk about how Jesus prophesied that we would see a large increase in seismic activity in recent days, and that is precisely what is happening.
But interestingly, this magma chamber is nowhere . near an active volcano
According to geophysicist Ian Hamling, since 1950 an incredible influx of magma - enough to fill 80,000 Olympic swimming pools - has accumulated under the small city of New Zealand, pushing up the surface of land by 40 cm (16 inches)
the crust of our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, and we have seen a number of very disturbing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions so far in 2016.
Here in the United States, in recent weeks we have seen very large seismic swarm develop under Mount Hood, Mount Rainier and Mt. St. Helens simultaneously . Maybe you do not think this is significant, but many of the insurance experts do.
At some point there will be large volcanic along the west coast eruptions.
At some point there will be great earthquakes along the west coast.
scientists say it is only a matter of time before we see these things.
Unfortunately for all of us, these things can start occur at a frequency and intensity that none of us expected
