Italian Courts Rule Vaccines Cause Autism — U.S. Media Blackout
See the Italian document here .)by Mary S. Holland
A childhood vaccine against six childhood diseases caused autism and child permanent brain damage. While Italian press has devoted considerable attention to this decision and its implications for public health, the US press has been silent.
Like the US, Italy has a national compensation program for vaccine injuries to give some financial support to those suffering injuries required and recommended vaccines.

The Italian child applicant received three doses of Infanrix Hexa to GlaxoSmithKline, one hexavalent vaccine administered in the first year of life.
These doses were produced between March and October 2006. The vaccine is to protect children against polio, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis B, pertussis and Haemophilus influenzae type B.
in addition to these antigens, however, the vaccine then contained thimerosal preservative containing mercury, aluminum, an adjuvant, and other toxic ingredients.
The child regressed into autism shortly after receiving three doses. When parents filed their request for compensation for the first time the Ministry of Health, as they were obliged to do so, the Ministry rejected.
Therefore, the family sued the Ministry in a court of general jurisdiction, an option that does not exist in the same way the US
Based on the testimony of medical experts, the court concluded that the most likely not suffer autism and brain damage because of neurotoxic mercury, aluminum and its particular susceptibility of a genetic mutation child .
The Court also noted that Infanrix Hexa contained thimerosal, now banned in Italy because of its neurotoxicity, "at concentrations greatly exceed the maximum levels recommended for children weighing only a few kilograms."
Presiding Judge Nicola Di Leo considered another irrefutable evidence: a report of 1,271 pages confidential GlaxoSmithKline (now available on the Internet ).
This document industry provides ample evidence of adverse effects of the vaccine, including five cases of autism known associated with the administration of the vaccine during clinical trials (see table on page 626, extract continuation).

As in many other developed countries, the government, not industry, compensates the families in case of vaccine injury. Thus apparent lack of concern about the adverse effects of the vaccine GSK is remarkable and perhaps is not surprising.
In the final evaluation, the report states that:
"[T] that benefit / risk profile of Infanrix hexa remains favorable," despite the recognition of GSK that vaccine causes side effects such as "autoimmune hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura, autoimmune thrombocytopenia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, hemolytic anemia, cyanosis, injection site nodule, abscesses and injection site abscess, Kawasaki disease, events significant neurological (including encephalitis and encephalopathy), Henoch-Schonlein purpura, petechiae, purpura, hematochezia, allergic reactions (including anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions), "and death (see page 9).Milan's decision is sober, informed and reasoned. The Ministry of Health has stated that it has appealed the decision of the Court , but that the appeal is likely to take several years, and its outcome is uncertain.
Rimini, 2012
Two years earlier, on May 23, 2012, Judge Lucio Ardigo an Italian court in Rimini presided over a such a judgment, finding that a different vaccine, the vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), had caused a child's autism.
(See: Italian decision MMR Remini 2012 ) As in the case of Milan, the Ministry of compensation program Health had denied compensation to the family, however, after a presentation of medical tests, a court granting of compensation.
There, too, the Italian press covered the story; US media it did not.
In that case, a 15 months old, he received his MMR vaccine on 26 March 2004. He then developed immediately intestinal and feeding problems and was diagnosed with autism with cognitive delay in one year.
The court found that the child had " been damaged by irreversible complications due to vaccination (with trivalent MMR). "
The decision went against conventional mainstream medical wisdom that a triple bond virus and autism has been "discredited."
Both decisions of the Italian courts to break new ground in the debate over vaccines and autism Roiling. These courts, like all courts, are intended to function as impartial and objective decision-making.
court decisions are surprising because not only find a causal link vaccine and autism, but also nullify the decisions of the Ministry of Health of Italy.
and as a whole, the decisions of the courts found that both MMR and thimerosal chromium and aluminum-containing vaccine can trigger autism.
These judgments flatly contradict the decisions of the vaccine called US court, the Court of Compensation Program Vaccine Injury Federal claim.
There, from 2007 to 2010, in the Omnibus procedure autism three decision makers, called special teachers, found that vaccines do not cause autism in any of the six test cases, and one special assistant, even It went so far as to compare the theory of autism vaccine induced by Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland .
The decisions of the Italian courts in stark contrast to these US cases based on similar claims.
How to reconcile the difference between the US and Italian decisions in similar cases? What is different in Italy?
Well, there may be many differences, but one fundamental thing is that in the US, if someone lost in the government compensation program for vaccine injuries, can not sue the government in a civil court; only she can sue the manufacturer.
In the US, his family would have to bear legal costs in a mismatch David and Goliath, facing a global pharmaceutical giant against a family is likely to suffer economically and health costs serious.
potential cases Moreover, since 2011, the Supreme Court of the United States has awarded and claims class action for Competition designs unreasonably dangerous, such as the use of thimerosal as a preservative or coadministration vaccines several live viruses such as MMR.
Since Decision 2011 Bruesewitz v. Wyeth Supreme Court, no US court Default can support allegations of vaccine design, the most likely legal actions that the plaintiffs added in similar circumstances against the accused large pharmaceutical.
unlike the American victims of vaccine injury, the Italian plaintiffs have not sue GSK; they sued the Ministry of Health.
While the decisions of Milan and Rimini, the plaintiffs won compensation based on the findings that vaccines caused autism.
One could say that these cases accomplish nothing more than a small outlay for injured children. However, it could be said that families, lawyers and medical experts are behind these cases of much greater use. the issue of vaccine-induced autism to impartial courts took, and got a clear legal clear answer based on evidence: vaccines cause autism.
