"While simply meditating we are seeing what the mind has been doing all weather." ~ Allan Lokos

People around the world have practiced meditation for centuries, and is fast becoming one of the most popular pastimes in the modern world. It is one of the most effective ways to find inner peace, relax and manage stress ways.

I've had my share of stress and problems in recent years. I remember once, almost eight years ago, when stress and anxiety me and really made life impossible.

I was facing the possibility of being fired at work. The economy was in a bad way, money was scarce, and my relationships were strained. I saw no clear way out of the approaching storm.

The darkness began to surround. Depression hit, and I started taking tranquilizers. I did not feel like doing anything. I was listless and often pouring out my wrath on those who were closest to me. Besides this, I have wronged my body by eating junk food.

All this was affecting my health and my performance at work and in life itself.

One day I decided I could not live like this any longer. He had finally had enough.

How I changed my life

To begin with, it was open and honest with family and friends. I explained why I was so stressed and how bad was happening and told them I had planned change

I said everything would be fine, that these bad days do not last forever.; it was only a temporary experience. And though I lost my job, sooner or later I would find something else. It would not be the end of the world.

I joined a local gym and started exercising.

me three year or four times a week after work, would eat fresh foods and healthy, I prepare for myself and work a little in the garden behind my house.

work began gradually improving. I kept my job, and once again I felt really good.

At the gym one day, however, came to talk to a guy on the general state of health, fitness, and positivity, and recommended meditation.

I was skeptical at first. I thought meditation was something reserved for monks.

However, I decided to give it a try, and eventually incorporated into my daily routine.

Meditation now comes the more natural for me as brushing teeth and showering in the morning.

I would like to share some of the great benefits I have experienced with meditation with the hope that maybe you could experience them as well.

1. meditation helps foster inner peace.

Upon leaving our homes or untidy belongings and maintenance for extended periods of time, dirty, dirty, dusty, and they are not very pleasing to the eye or be around.

Now, imagine your body as a messy room or membership. Instead of dirt, grime, clutter and yet, experience anxiety, stress, depression and negative thoughts.

may collect those all kinds of sites, including things we see on television or in news, people at work, friends and family members, from stressful situations, and most of the rest of the world today.

instead of stewing about these situations, environments and people, meditation teaches us to simply release negativity. It will not remove these feelings, but it gives us tools to deal with them more effectively.

Little things, even great things, do not bother us much, so we can remain positive, happy, calm and at peace within ourselves.

2. meditation helps find perfect moments.

instead of reacting to people and situations instead is the observation of the world that is happening around them.

Before meditation, which would focus on negative energy and allow overwhelms me. Through meditation, I discovered something surprising: that is not the perfection of everyone around us

Instead of focusing on the negative, I found myself looking for the positive perfection at all times.. The faint smile of a stranger, the taste of my favorite food, or even just the comfort to spend a few moments of quiet solitude everything became more important to me, once I could release negative energy.

3. meditation helps to improve their concentration.

a great advantage of meditation is that it helps you greatly improve your concentration levels, which in turn will help you make more productive .

When you meditate, clear your mind of distractions and instead focus on the act of mediation itself. Then, after meditation, you are more able to focus on what is right in front of you instead of getting caught up in their thoughts, fears and worries.

4. You are not bothered by the smallest things.

Say, for example, you drop your plate of food on the kitchen floor and then clean it. Instead of shouting, swearing, and stewing by the fact that you made a small mess, meditation teaches us not to bother with small things.

instead of feel angry and sorry for ourselves, just grab a rag and broom, clean up the mess, and we get more food without working for it.

meditation teaches us not to worry about the little things, and really helps put things in perspective.

There are people out there that deal with the overwhelming problems. In the grand scheme of things, some disorder is not that big of a deal.

5. Meditation helps awaken forgiveness.

Another great advantage of meditation is that it helps us to let go of anger easier for us to forgive and forget.

When I was working abroad I fell ill and had to return home earlier than had planned, so I took my payment and left.

what I did not realize was that I was entitled to a bonus for my work. It was not much money, but still it was something.

A few months later, I learned from a colleague that "my good friend" had picked up my bonus from my boss and not give me when he returned home.

was angry and disappointed, especially because we know each other since kindergarten and I trusted him. It was months before I start talking to him again.

I am not 100 percent sure how he would react to something like this today, but I'm pretty sure it was not going to keep my bottled anger within me as it is self-destructive. With peace that I promoted today, it is likely to be much easier to let go

all have those moments when we say.. "I'll never forgive that person Do not know what they have done to me? "what meditation has helped me to realize that forgiveness is not about giving something undeserved others. It's about giving something that is totally deserved myself.

6. It starts to feel more alive.

may sound a little corny, but since it began to meditate regularly, I he felt more alive than ever.

is as if all my senses were awakened simultaneously. Images seem sharper. Flavors seem tastier. Joy seems happier (if that's possible).

I have found that I am able to read the best people, so emotionally and physically. There is this sense that allows me to detect if something is bothering someone or if they are having a bright day. It is a beautiful experience that was totally unexpected when I started my search for meditation.

Above all, I am more aware of himself. I know what works and what does not work for me. I know how to get the best out of myself, productively and spiritually, and it's all because I took meditation thanks to a fateful conversation I had a day in the gym.
