In fact, scientists have even come up with methods to create diamonds in laboratories using all kinds of material containing carbon; carbon dioxide or different types of food stuff like peanut butter.


Geologist Dan Frost Beyerisches Geoinstitute in Germany has been working to find ways to simulate high pressure conditions of the lower mantle of the Earth. During his research he has come to some very strange ways of creating diamonds.


According to the hypothesis Frost, in particular geological processes are capable of extracting carbon from the world's oceans dioxide and force for insert into the mantle. That's where the gas becomes high pressure diamond. According to him, the iron is key to this process to take place the ingredient. The high pressure in the mantle forces the carbon dioxide in mineral rocks that are rich in iron. Oxygen is stripped away in this process and leaves only carbon to form diamond. This was confirmed when the frost recreates the process and basically created diamond of nowhere.
