There are certain foods that always end up in my shopping cart. I stay with a plan of healthy, easy and fast food. There is no need for frills or long recipes to stay healthy, but taste does not have to sacrifice either. Do not forget to load on these goodies next time you're in the supermarket!

Eggs

Can you think of a more versatile food? There are endless options when it comes to cooking with eggs. And whites are full of protein, while the yokes are full of fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, E and D do not have time to cook eggs in the morning? they have for lunch or dinner! My favorite is the easiest with vegetables, goat cheese and sauce preparation.

green vegetables

kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, oh my! Make sure you eat your vegetables. Brussels seems to be the fashion at the moment and if you have not jumped on the bandwagon, you're missing. The health benefits are endless and the taste is fantastic when garlic and lemon are added.

nder

This natural antimicrobial can help prevent colds and flus more annoying. Garlic is also good for the heart, so add a clove per day to your meal. Add to your favorites or grilled vegetables with salad. You can even make dressing fresh salad with chopped garlic, vinegar and olive oil.

coconut and almond milk

Coco and almond milk are my alternatives to cow's milk favorites. Concerned about calcium? Almond and coconut milk are fortified with calcium as cow's milk and often contain more calcium than cow's milk. I recommend sugarless versions, since they have no added sugar, but still taste great. Use them in your smoothies, coffee or baking.

sweet potatoes

Trade of white potatoes for these root vegetables nutritious. Sweet potatoes have more flavor than standard white potatoes, so give up the butter, salt, cheese and sour cream and enjoy the sweetness. Like carrots, sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins A, C and B6. Cook like a baked potato, roasted in the oven, or add to a salad after cooling.

Coconut Water

Did you know that when you sweat, you're losing electrolytes? low electrolyte can be left with a headache, lightheadedness, or dehydrated. Coconut water is an electrolyte replacement drink, and there are lots of different flavors to choose from. These seem to taste better when served very cold!

Beans and lentils

Fiber. Fiber. Fiber. It is what 35 grams of fiber per day is recommended. Beans and lentils are a great source of fiber and protein. As a vegetarian, I'm always making sure I'm getting enough protein in my diet and beans will help me accomplish that. Add to soup, salad, Mexican night, or mix with quinoa and vegetables.

fresh herbs

Do you believe that healthy food has to taste bland? I have good news for you! Add fresh herbs and now has tasty healthy food. I'm still a novice in this department, but every time I digress and add rosemary or basil to my kitchen, I do not regret. They seem to be tastier than spices and contain more nutrients too. I love the sprinkling of fresh rosemary on my roasted sweet potatoes, sage in my eggs, guacamole and cilantro. Fresh and delicious.

Quinoa

Quinoa is the only grain that is a complete protein. This means it has all the essential amino acids, or all amino acids that are necessary for our diet to prevent re poor. It is cooked like rice and only takes about 15 minutes to make. Cook in vegetable broth or chicken for flavor.

Lemon

are you sick of pure water? A splash of citrus in water can quench your thirst while adding flavor and vitamin C. Lemon is also the key to cook your green, as it helps reduce acid bitterness of vegetables.
