Red Beans and Jasmine Rice
The red beans and rice jasmine
Makes portions 10-12
1 pound of red beans (the beans )
1 pound of turkey sausage and tasso olive oil extra virgin
2 tablespoons
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
10 cups water or chicken broth
4 bay leaves
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons parsley
sea salt and black pepper (to taste)
2 cups rice jasmine
Directions
Rinse beans and collect all the bad beans. Place beans in a large pot. Add 10tazas water or bay leaves and stock and simmer. In unla pan, olive oil over medium heat. Cook the turkey or tassosalchichas smoke for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add the onion, garlic and bell pepper to same skillet and saltearcondimentos for 5 minutes or until slightly translucent. Add cocinadocondimento, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt (to taste) to beans. Removery the cover.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low heat for 2-2 bajo.A 1/2 hours. Add the parsley and tasso turkey. continúecocine simmer for about 30 minutes.
jazmínde Prepare rice according to directions. Serve with jasmine rice beans. You puedesustitutivo with brown rice without rice or enjoy at all.
* Replace Turkey Tasso with turkey ham, turkey sausage, sauteed chicken breasts, cubed, or omit the meat.
